Nutrients are not usually a limiting factor of production in the inner part of the Ria of Vigo since their concentrations is high enough, nearly all year, and temperature does not drop below 12º C even in winter. The most important factor is the amount of incident energy (Vives and Fraga, 1961), specially its penetration in the water.
