Metal retention and mobility as influenced by some organic residues added to soils: a case study

Abstract

This chapter provides a review of the present knowledge of how retention and mobility of metals in soils and other environmental systems are influenced by organic substances, especially those present in residues added to soils for recycling purposes, and is further illustrated with examples of recent research carried out with an agricultural residue which represents a majar concern in Mediterranean countries.
