ResumenIn this work, we evaluated the application of vermiculture for the transformation of sewage sludges. Results showed that the survival of earthworms under soil decreased when the sewage sludge contained about 50 % horse dung, for Sur compost and mix compost. The evolution of total heavy metals in the vermicompost was also studied. Their content was not affected by the worms treatment. Finally, the results obtained confirm the possibility to use vermicompost as fertilizer due its high value in nutrients specially in potassium and phosphorus, that were increased.
