Lipid storage, essentially characterized by lamellated inclusions, developed as we reported previously (Muriana et al., Exp. Pathol., 32 (1987) 65–72). A substantial increase in liver total lipid, phospholipids and triacylglycerols was found during viologen treatment in rats.
