dc.description.abstract | Infrared experimental evidence is presented in favor of a mechanism of continuous and reversible hydrogen motion from HPO4 2- ··· OH- to PO4 3- ··· H2O in nonstoichiometric hydroxyapatite. It is also shown how such a mechanism is responsible for the presence of a librational OH band at 670 cm-1 in the infrared spectrum of fluoroapatite. © 1978. | - |
