Nonclassical states in quantum gravity

AbstractWe discuss possible states of the quantized gravitational field which have no classical counterpart and reflect in the matter field sector as fundamental phenomena. It is known that wormholes can be pictured as squeezed states of spacetime and that such wormholes are able to induce the kind of decoherence required for a consistent interpretation of the quantum measurement, as well as the spontaneous emergence of bunched and antibunched states in all ordinary matter at low energy.
