Sepulturas e iglesias en la Hispania tardoantigua. Una relación difícil

Abstract

[EN] Graves and Churches belong to late antique Christian landscape, although their relationship is not always clear enough. This paper intends first to define what the concept of “funerary church” means. Explaining some Hispanic buildings thought to be either Christian mausoleums, or martyria or funerary churches, and revising its chronological an functional problems is secondly pursued with the aim of highlighting some aspects whish might help to go deeper into the research of this architecture.

[ES] Tumbas e iglesias forman parte del pisaje cristiano de la Antigüedad tardía, aunque su relación no siempre está suficientemente clara. Este texto pretende, en primer lugar, definir el concepto de "iglesia funeraria". En segundo lugar, aborda la interpretación de algunos edificios hispánicos considerados mausoleos cristianos, martyria o iglesias funerarias, así como la revisión de sus problemas cronológicos y funcionales, con el objetivo de destacar algunos aspectos que tal vez sean de utilidad para profundizar en la investigación de estas manifestaciones arquitectónicas.
