ResumenLight-induced persistent changes in magnetization of n-type Cd1−xMnxTe (0.01<~x<~0.20) single crystals have been measured at T=2 and 5 K and in magnetic fields of up 0.5 T. The effect observed correlates with an increase (upon illumination) in shallow donor concentration measured on the same samples. It also saturates with increasing magnetic field. The bound magnetic polaron theory accounts for the variation of the excess persistent magnetization with temperature and magnetic-field strength if the antiferromagnetic exchange coupling between magnetic ions is included.
