dc.description2020 IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC), Vancouver, BC, Canada, 28 Sept.-1 Oct. 2020-
We present a Y-junction beam-splitter based on subwavelength metamaterials that mitigates losses associated with the fabrication limitations in the tip size of conventional Y-junctions. Simulations show minimal losses under 0.5 dB for TE 0 and TE 1 modes in a 300 nm range (1300 - 1600 nm).-
