Título: | Role of tight junctions in hepatitis C virus infection |
Autor: | Benedicto, Ignacio CSIC ORCID; Molina-Jiménez, Francisca; García-Buey, Luisa; López Cabrera, Manuel CSIC ORCID; Moreno-Otero, R.; Manjano, Pedro L. | Fecha de publicación: | 2012 | Citación: | Revista Espanola de Enfermedades Digestivas 104: 255- 263 (2012) | Resumen: | Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection becomes chronic in most patients, not being precisely understood the mechanisms that determine the insufficient immune response aimed at eradicating the virus. In the infected liver, complex physiopathogenic mechanisms are activated with the purpose of clearing HCV and repairing the damaged tissue. Failure of both processes favors infection persistence and liver disease progression. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10261/100667 | Identificadores: | issn: 1130-4588 |
