AbstractNitrix oxide (NO) affects cell signaling throught a wide range of actions. One involves tyrosine-nitration, a process by which a nitrite group is added to the orthoposition of Tyr resid ues forming 3-nitrotyrosine, which may alter protein conformation, structure and catalytic activity.
