AbstractCool season legume cultivation is strongly hampered in Mediterranean and middle East farming systems by the occurrence of Orobanche crenata. Other species of importance are O. minos, O. foetida, Phelipanche aegyptiaca and Cuscuta campestri. Strategies of control have been developed but only marginal successes have been achieved.
