Estudio de la fertirrigación nitrogenada con el inhibidor de la nitrificación 3,4 DIMETILPIRAZOLFOSFATO (DMPP) en melocotonero ‘Miraflores’

Abstract

[ES] El cultivo de melocotonero (entre los que se incluyen, nectarino y paraguayo) en nuestro país no ha dejado de crecer en los últimos años. La climatología, los suelos y el esfuerzo de los fruticultores, favorecen la obtención de producciones de calidad. En Europa la preocupación por el medioambiente es notable y la normativa ambiental es cada vez más extensa y exigente. Dentro de las preocupaciones medioambientales preservar la calidad del agua es una prioridad. Para ello, la normativa exige, entre otros requisitos, que el agua potable no debe superar los 50 mg/L de nitratos. Además, se han delimitado aquellas zonas con riesgo de acumulación de nitratos en sus aguas y se han establecido códigos de ‘buenas prácticas agrícolas’ para reducir los riesgos. La fertilización de cultivos leñosos, especialmente con fertilizantes nitrogenados, resulta compleja de determinar en su cuantía y, además, la respuesta de estos cultivos a las aplicaciones de fertilizantes es lenta, a menudo poco clara y puede llegar a mostrar efectos visibles varios años. En este estudio se han aplicado fertilizantes nitrogenados en diferentes equilibrios NO37NH4 con el inhibidor de la nitrificación 3,4 DMPP, con objeto de estudiar los efectos sobre la producción y sobre los lixiviados de nitratos en el agua de riego.

[EN] The cultivation of peach trees (which also include nectarine and flat peach) in our country has not stopped growing in recent years. The climate, the terrain and the effort of the fruit farmers have favoured good quality harvests. In Europe concern for the environment is high and environmental regulations are ever more extensive and demanding. Preserving water quality is a priority among environmental concerns. To achieve this, the regulation stipulates, among other requirements, that drinking water contains no more that 50mg/L of nitrates. In addition, those areas that are at risk of accumulating nitrates in their waters have been delimited and ‘good agriculture practice’ codes have been established in order to reduce risks. The fertilization of woody crops, especially with nitrogenated fertilizers, is complex in determining its amount and, also, the reaction of these crops to the application of fertilizers is slow, often not very clear and can lead to visible effects showing for some years. In this study nitrogenated fertilizers have been applied in different balances NO3-/NH4+ with the nitrification inhibitor 3.4 DMPP, with the aim of studying the effects on production and on the leaching of nitrates into the irrigation water.
