AbstractEarly this year (2003), the third edition appeared of a long awaited update for the classical laboratory manual ‘Manipulating the Mouse Embryo’, published by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press and written by Andras Nagy, Marina Gertsenstein (both at the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute, Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto), Kristina Vintersen (EMBL, Heidelberg) and Richard Behringer (M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, University of Texas). The previous versions of this manual have already become a key reference in any laboratory aiming to generate, analyze or use genetically modified mice or is interested in mammalian (mouse) embryogenesis.
