AbstractEgg-recruitment, stock-recruitment and reproduction curves are considered as events of a more general subject that we call generation curves. Generation curves can be used as general production curves, or as pieces of structural ones. In this paper some effects of fishing mortality on generation curves have been considered. The most important conclusions are that fishing can modify compensatory mortality in egg recruitment and stock recruitment curves, decreasing para meters B in a in the former one and increasing paraneter b an decreasing parameters A and B in the later one
