AbstractSix aero-aquatic species of Helicodendron Peyronel were isolated from a variety of submerged decaying leaves and twigs of deciduous and coniferous plants collected from several ponds and streams in North Catalonia, Spain. These are H. articulatum Glen-Bott, H. conglomeratum Glen-Bott, H. fractum P.J. Fisher, H. paradoxum Peyronel, H. tubulosum (Riess) Linder, and H. westerdijkiae van Beverw. A brief description from pure culture is provided for each species. All the reported species are new to Spain.
