La selectividad del boliche

Abstract

[EN] The "boliche", a short of the seine net employed in Vigo (NW of Spain) has been sketched in this paper, with indication of nomenclature and size. By means of submarine observations we have been able to study the mesh position, thread tension, the behaviour of captured animals and selectivity of this net. we have come to the following conclusions: the "boliche" is not a selective net and the reaction of capturated animals will be, probably, the same as when other similar nets are used.
