AbstractIt has been shown taht continuos light (LL) inhibits gametogenesis and prevents early puberty in male sea bass. Nevertheless, available information on the underlying mechanisms is scarce. The aim of this study was ty ekycudate the effects of long term administration of sexual steroids to pre-pubertal sea bass exposed either to simulated natural photoperiod (SNP) or to LL and to explore the possible hormonal mechanisms at pituitary and gonadal levels.
