dc.description.abstractTERRAZA module will shape the next new MicroLEIS system. It 15 partly constructed in accordance with the criteria of the FAO-framework and European Comunity. This is a data base system evaluation approach to predict agroclimatic classification and yield reduction (%), for it a model dictates the type of monthly data required as climate: precipitation, temperature and evapotranspiration. Furthermore it is necessary to incorporate data of soil water capacity and latitude. The Kc and Ky are included within the programme. This model takes applications of MicroLEIS system wich are defined as in the estimated reduction of reference crop production to predict four types of agroclimatic class: Excellent (S1), Good (S2), Moderate (S3) and Marginal (S4), which are defined in basis the estimated reduction of reference crop production. This study consisting of eight provinces areas in Southern Spain: Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaén, Málaga and Seville and 62 representative land-units and seven crops has been chosen to aplicate and to validate the new model created. This one climatic scenario has been examined in a period (1961-1990). The main objetives are: 1) to make the application and validation of MicrolEIS system in eight province areas of Andalusia (Spain) and seven crops using agroclimatic data of 62 land-units considered as the most representative in the mentioned region. 2) to analize the discriminatory power of TERRAZA to predict the corresponding agroclimatlc class of different units of soil evaluated and to know if this classificatlon based en % of yield reduction is funcional for all the evaluated crops. With the application and validation of TERRAZA model of MicroLEIS System the following conclusions can be drawn: 1. The TERRAZA model results sensible to determine the agroclimatic suitability of the land-unit segregating crops whose phenologic period coincides with the summer season such as cotton, maize, sunflower and tobacco. However in the winter crops exactly in wheat, patatoe and soya is scarely demostrate the discrinatory power. 2. With the application of the TERRAZA model can be analize so that not obtain diferences in establish the agroclimatic class in the winter crops such as wheat, soya and patatoe, because it classifies the majority of the land-unit evaluated (S1) excellent, due to phenologic period of these plants that coincide with epoch of most precipitations and both low temperatures and evapotranspiration presenting the minor index of yield reduction (%). 3. The majority of the land- units, the behavior of whose crops were evaluated always registered in the same order thus supply a parameter of general reference to agroclimatic class. 4. This model is valid as the first step in agroclimatic evaluation providing a basis through the accuracy of a computer programe for future land evaluations.es_ES
