AbstractAlloying and amorphization of ball-milled samples of nominal composition Fe100-xSix (x = 5-50) has been investigated by means of X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and magnetic measurements. An evaluation is made of the relative quantities of phases present in the as-milled samples. © 1991.
