AbstractThe importance of preservation of samples during space experiments is discussed. Preservation is important because of the atypical long storage times before and after the experiment without surveillance by the investigators. The preservation requirements are highly variable, depending on the quality of the samples and the objectives of the research. Dedicated procedures should be developed for every case and biological model system.
