A histochemical study of some aspects of the metabolism of glutamic acid in the cerebellum of mammals

AuthorsMartínez-Rodríguez, Ricardo

CitationActa Histochemica 49: 74-82 (1974)
AbstractA histochemical study was completed into the consumption of glutamic acid and glutamine by sections of mammalian cerebellum, investigating the localization of the activity of glutamic dehydrogenase, of glutaminase and of aspartate aminotransferase. The results observed showed different localities of the said enzymes, which suggest that their role in the specific activity of the nervous elements must also be different.
