AbstractThiaminepyrophosphatase activity is investigated in histological sections of nervous tissue. Observations showed that the histochemical reaction was effectively developed in histological sections proceeding from animals perfused with glutaraldehyde and formaldehyde, and that said reaction is activated incubating in the presence of Ca++ or of imidazole. Noradrenaline and L-DOPA produced, on the other hand, inhibiton of the thiaminepyrophosphatase activity.
