AbstractDifferent approaches are presented for the study of vibrational predissociation of triatomic van der Waals molecules. These methods are applied to the study of the He-I2 when I2 is excited to the B electronic state. The applicability of these methods is discussed in detail by comparing with 'exact' quantum results.
