Primer hallazgo del buey almizclado (Ovibos moschatus, Zimmermann) en el pleistoceno peninsular

Abstract

[ES] En base a las características de las rocas ganíticas consideradas y el medio geológico regional, se atribuye un origen ígneo para los silicatos alumínicos estudiados. La cristalización a presiones y temperaturas elevadas dio lugar a la aparición de almandino. Al descender la presión a menos de unos 5Kb se produjo la cristalización de la cordierita y, posteriormente, de la andalucita y sillimanita. A lo largo de esta secuencia, el grado de saturación en volátiles (agua sobre todo) fue aumentando. A presiones inferiores a 2 Kb comienza una intensa actividad tardía del potasio que altera a dichos minerales; la moscovitización marca el final de esta etapa y el comienzo de otra más ácida, caracterizada por la actividad del sodio.

[EN] In central Extremadura a suite of andalusite-cordierite (and minor sillimanite-a1mandine)-bearing intrusive granites occurs. These aluminosilicates are interpreted as magrnatic origin because they form euhedral crystals which are distinct to those of the contact aureole and the total Al in biotites is higher in those which belong to andalusite (or cordierite)- bearing granites. The presence of almandine alone suggests a pressure of 5-6 Kb or more; the relic association quartz (high temperature)-calcic oligoclase indicates that these older magma was water-undersaturated. With a pressure of less than about 5 Kb and more water, cordierite appears. The andalusite crystallizes near of water-saturated conditions. Later (Pt < 2 Kb) there is a alteration because K-activity, which finishs with a muscovitization and then sodification, more acid.
