[EN] The Valdeinfierno basin contains continental materials (alluvial fan deposits) of early carboniferous age, controlled by synsedimentary tectonic activity. This alluvial fans reflect in their vertical changes of facies sudden tectonic movements. The present limits of this basin are evident strike-slip faults. The analysis of distinctive tectonics and sedimentary characteristics lead to propose that the Valdeinfierno basin is a strike-slip basin. Other neighbouring basins of similar characteristics may have the same origin
