AbstractThe adsorption of methomyl by 6 soil samples from different depths has been expressed as the soil/water distribution coefficient Kd. Organic matter was the most important property affecting Kd values, which decreased with depth because of the higher organic matter content of the topsoil. Kd also decreased when methomyl initial concentration and soil/solution ratio increased.
