Foucault test in white light imagery

AbstractThe colour distribution for the Foucault test has been studied for some cases of significant chromatic variations. The geometrical image formation approach is applied for the computation of colour variation for different filter positions on the optical axis. Remarkable colour effects have been registered when longitudinal chromatism is present and for a diffraction limited system. © 1986.
