AbstractThe discrete complex Ginzburg-Landau (dCGL) equation describes solitons in multiple waveguide structures. We study, numerically, its soliton solutions. We compare stability, translational invariance and motion properties for various cases, including the Ablowitz-Ladik chain, the cubic and two forms of quintic dCGLE. © 2003 Elsevier B.V.
