Intraspecific craniometric variability related to age, was analyzed for the roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) by measuring 202 skulls (111 males and 91 females) from five different populations in Western Europe. From the results, a large increase in viscerocranium length occurs during the early stages of growth, followed by an increase in breadth during adulthood. The growth pattern is similar among populations and in both sexes.-
