Título: | Study of structural modification of CdZnTe bulk crystals induced by bismuth doping |
Autor: | Carcelén, V.; Redondo-Cubero, A.; Gutiérrez-Puebla, Enrique CSIC ORCID; Rodríguez-Velamazán, J. A. CSIC ORCID; Monge, M. Ángeles CSIC ORCID | Fecha de publicación: | ene-2010 | Editor: | Elsevier | Citación: | Chemical Physics Letters 485(1-3): 207-210 (2010) | Resumen: | The effect of the incorporation of Bi in the structure of Cd1−xZnxTe bulkcrystals has been investigated by ion channeling, X-ray and neutron diffraction techniques. The analysis of the data reveals that the growing method produces high quality crystals, which are uniformly degraded by the incorporation of Bi. Bismuth shows an amphoteric behavior with the ability to occupy Te positions in the zinc-blende structure and it has been found that Bi also goes to a new site (1/4 1/4 5/4). These results explain the important properties of the material and pave the way for enhanced X- and gamma-rays room temperature detectors. | Descripción: | 4 páginas, 2 figuras, 2 tablas.-- et al. | Versión del editor: | http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.cplett.2009.11.057 | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10261/55694 | DOI: | 10.1016/j.cplett.2009.11.057 | ISSN: | 0009-2614 |
