AbstractContinuous Kerr medium model was discussed for analyzing the spatial behavior of quantum fluctuations around a steady state. A roll-pattern configuration in the beam cross-section is considered. Kerr medium in a planar resonator gave importance to the vectorial character of the radiation field and fluctuations were found dominated by the neutral mode corresponding to rigid spatial displacement of the pattern.
