ResumenFew studies have dealt with the static recrystallization of austenite in microalloyed steels with only vanadium and in none of them has Avrami's equation been modelled for this type of steels. Yamamoto et al. (2) demonstrated the minimal influence of the content of vanadium in solution and of nitrogen in microalioyed steels on the recrystallized fraction determined at 900°C. In the same way, Medina et al. (4) determined the recrystallized fraction at different temperatures and also demonstrated that the vanadium in solution does not have an influence on the static recrystallization kinetics. It is even more difficult to find studies of the kinetics of the precipitation induced by the strain in this type of steels, expressed by the precipitation-time-temperature (PIT) diagrams, though PTr diagrams have recently been published for three microalloyed steels including one with vanadium.
