| Resumen: | Semiconductor Lasers (SL) have changed considerably since their origins in 1962 [1]. First devices only allowed pulsed operation at liquid nitrogen temperatures. Today, SL are small and e cient devices widely used in a variety of elds. Their applications include optical data-storage, metrology, spectroscopy, material processing, pumping of other lasers and optical telecommunications. |
