[EN] Among the phenomena that signal the saturation of the urban space in the Andalusi town we find the occupation of building-free spaces, the displacement to the periphery of those artisanal workshops that need ample spaces, the invasion of streets, the growth of the housing in height and the partition of urban lots. It is with the latter one that we deal in the present article, discussing a number of archaeological examples documented in the city of Murcia and in the site of Siyâsa (Cieza, Murcia). We can distinguish at least two tipes of division according to the spatial organization of the underlying lot. The first one always take place in huge buildings, compounds of two or more residential areas that, after a time, finally become individual lots. The second one is found in more limited plots that only have a residential core of four aisles around a central court; in them, the subdivision is obtained by means of a partition wall that crosses it from north to south, cutting simultaneously the main halls and the court.
