Abstract

Moving to Spain for some European retired, to live temporary or permanently, is a clear example of a model of geographical mobility of the population that generally happens when they exit the labor market. This is a movement with a great tradition in the United States or Australia. In the European ambit, this phenomenon has been called "international migration of retired" where Spain has been the main destination. This is a relatively new phenomenon although it is gaining importance, nor so much for its numerical values but because of its influence in local ambits.
