Munida benguela, espèce nouvelle d'Afrique du Sud. Comparaison avec Munida sanctipauli Henderson, 1885 (Crustacea Decapoda Galatheidae).

Abstract

[EN] A new species of the genus Munida Leach, M. benguela sp. nov., collected during Spanish and South-African cruises carried out in the S.E. Atlantic Océan is described. The new species seems to be most closely related to M. sanctipauli Henderson, from the North Atlantic Océan, however M. benguela differs in the following points : 1) iridescent setae on the carapace and thoracic legs, 2) a continuous ridge between largest antero-branchial pair of spines, 3) the last segment of the thoracic sternal plate without a latéral expansion, 4) a long inner distal spine on the proximal article of antennular peduncle, 5) the latéral contour of the carapace slightly convex.
