Abstract[EN]The invention relates to the use of cyclic nucleoside analogue phosphorothioates or acyclic nucleoside derivatives having formula (I) or (IB), which are pharmacologically-active inhibitors of the reverse transcriptase enzyme (RT) and to the use thereof in therapy, particularly for the treatment of infections caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Said compounds are particularly effective when the RT has combinations of mutations that render HIV resistant to RT-inhibitor drugs.
