Abstract

[EN]The invention is based on the use of fluids and other media that can be actuated using electromagnetic fields and microfabrication techniques in order to produce devices and integrated circuits which can be used in integrated optics, micro-optics, quasi-guided optics and non-guided optics. The inventive novel devices and integrated circuits are identical to existing devices and circuits in terms of functionality, but the use of the fluids and other media that can be actuated using electromagnetic fields provides increased strength and flexibility and facilitates production.

[ES]La presente invención se basa en la utilización de fluidos u otros medios actuables mediante campos electromagnéticos y de técnicas de microfabricación para obtener dispositivos y circuitos integrados de aplicación en óptica integrada, microóptica,óptica cuasi-guiada y óptica no-guiada. Los nuevos dispositivos y circuitos integrados que se reivindican son equivalentes por su funcionalidad a los ya existentes, pero el uso de los fluidos u otros medios actuables mediante campos electromagnéticos les confiere una mayor robustez, flexibilidad y facilidad en su fabricación.
