Abstract

[EN]The invention relates to a kaolin treatment method. The invention comprises isostatic pressing with the presence/absence of water as an essential variable during the industrial treatment of kaolin, given that it determines the degree of structural order of the kaolinite as well as the morphology, particle size and specific surface area thereof. The invention can be used to optimise the modified properties and is particularly suitable for use in the paper, ceramic, paint, plastic and rubber industries.

[ES]El objeto de la presente invención consiste en el prensado isostático con presencia/ausencia de agua como variable esencial durante el tratamiento industrial de un caolín, dado que coniciona el grado de orden estructural de la caolinita, así como la morfología, tamaño de partícula y superficie específica. Asimismo permite optimizar las propiedades modificadas siendo de gran importancia en las industrias papelera, cerámica, pinturas, plásticos y caucho.
