Título: | Influence of Two-Component Signal Transduction Systems of Lactobacillus casei BL23 on Tolerance to Stress Conditions |
Autor: | Alcántara, Cristina CSIC ORCID; Revilla Guarinos, Ainhoa CSIC ORCID; Zúñiga, Manuel CSIC ORCID | Palabras clave: | Lactobacillus casei Stress tolerance Two-component signal transduction system |
Fecha de publicación: | feb-2011 | Editor: | American Society for Microbiology | Citación: | Applied and Environmental Microbiology 77 (4):1516-1519 (2011) | Resumen: | Lactobacillus casei BL23 carries 17 two-component signal transduction systems. Insertional mutations were introduced into each gene encoding the cognate response regulators, and their effects on growth under different conditions were assayed. Inactivation of systems TC01, TC06, and TC12 (LCABL_02080-LCABL_02090, LCABL_12050-LCABL_12060, and LCABL_19600-LCABL_19610, respectively) led to major growth defects under the conditions assayed. | Descripción: | 4 pages, 1 tables, 1 figure.-- Supplemental material: 6 tables, 2 figures.-- Published ahead of print on 23 December 2010. | Versión del editor: | http://dx.doi.org/10.1128/AEM.02176-10 | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10261/32394 | DOI: | 10.1128/AEM.02176-10 | ISSN: | 0099-2240 |
