ResumenAn extension of ROZ equations is introduced to study the adsorption of a molecular fluid inside a porous medium somewhat different in scope to the treatment of Padilla et al. The treatment of the molecular fluid, in this case a homonuclear hard diatomic, using the standard spherical harmonic expansion, is proposed. It is shown that this approach furnishes a correct description of the structure and thermodynamics of this type of systems and in particular how the influence of the molecular shape can be elucidated from the results.
