The quenching of the CD(A 2Δ, v=0) state depends on rotational quantum number: for quantum numbers N′=4–12 the quenching rates increase from 2.7×10−11 to 4.0×10−11 cm3 molec−1 s−1, remain nearly constant for N′=12–16 and decrease to 2.3×10−11 cm3 molec−1 s−1 for N′=20. The A 2Δ and B 2Σ− states are quenched at similar rates.
