ResumenCdS pellets were ablated with 532nm laser light (fluence of 0,5J/cm2) and the neutral species in the plume were investigated using a TOF mass spectrometer. Stoichiometric (CdS)n and CdnSn+m (m=1,2,3) clusters up to n = 13 were identified in the mass spectra. The dynamics of neutral S, S2, Cd and Cd2 were studied at different positions in the plume, showing mean velocities of 900 m/s at 4 mm from the surface up to 1500 m/s at 12 mm. This observed acceleration indicates that collisions between species are frequent in that region of the plume, pointing to an adiabatic expansion.
