Title: | Geochemistry and mineralogy of the clay fraction from some Spanish Terra Rossa |
Authors: | García-González, M. T. ; Recio, Paloma CSIC ORCID | Keywords: | Spanish Terra Rossa Mineralogy Clay fraction Geochemistry |
Issue Date: | 1988 | Citation: | Agrochimica 32(2-3):161-170 (1988) | Abstract: | The object of this study is the mineralogical composition of the clay fraction of two profiles of Spanish terra rossa and its relation with the distribution of the concentrations of different trace elements. The two profiles lie in the central area of the iberian peninsula, in the spurs of the sierra of la Calderina, wich is part of an old rock formation of the mountains of Toledo which were formed during the hercynian orogenesis that took place from the carboniferous to the permian periods and effects the western half of the peninsula, producing tectonic alignments from NW to SE. The limestone materials on which the profiles rest belong to the pre-Ordovician series (Martín Escorza 1976) | Description: | 10 pages, and figures, and tables statics. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10261/24480 | ISSN: | 0002-1857 |
