AbstractSIRENA is the software aimed at performing the on board event energy triggering and reconstruction for the Athena calorimeter X-IFU in the Event Processor (EP) of the Digital Readouts Electronics (DRE) unit. After demodulation (DRE-DEMUX) and hardware trigger stages, SIRENA implements different detection and reconstruction algorithms to provide arrival time, spatial location and energy of each event.
