ResumenThe control network of the GPS permanent sta/ion, that the Institute of Astronomy and Geodesy has installed in Jameos, Lanzarote, was presented in the 3" Hispanic Portuguese Assembly ofGeodesy and Geophysics held in Valencia in 2002. Thanks to this network, possible movements ofthe crust are studying respect 10 the sea level recorded by the tide gauges ins/alled. The GPS antenna is located in the top of a building and the geodetic control network has been designed and installed around it, to study the stability of the monument and building and lo monitoring the possible movements of the crust respect to the sea leve!. The control net consists of !2 well signalled bench marks and it has been observed since year 2000 till now by means of c1assic levelling techniques and GPS campaigns. The levelling observations allow a higher precision in the vertical component and it is known that the vertical movements are very important in the records of the tide gauges; while the GPS allows /0 have a con/rol in the three components. After five years of observa/ion some results have been obtained that guarantee the stability of the antenna regarding their environment. The objective of this work is to present these results and some comparisons between the results obtained by high precision classic techniques and GPs.
