ResumenThe new high precision gravimetric geoid of the Canarian archipelago CANGEO j007 has been obtained as a part of the /beria-Canary-Azores gravity and geoid model (/CAGM presented in this symposium). The region covered by the geoid isfrom 26° to 30° in latitude and from -19° to -12" in longitude. The data used are based in a global geopotential model, namely the GGM02C spherical harmonic coef/icients set extended by the EGM96 model, a set of point free air gravity anomalies covering the area complemented by gravity anomalies from the KMS02 1170del for the sea and several digital terrain models: the 1GN model .the GEBCO 1170del for the marine area and the SRTM miss ion for the rest of the region. The method used in the computations was the Stokes' integral in convolution formo The input data were gridded gravity anomalies. To evaluate the integral, the Fast Fourier Transform techniques were applied. Discrete spectra of the kerne! function is used. /00 % zero padding was appended around the signal matrix lo avoid circular convolution effecls. The terrain correction was applied lo the data and the corresponding indirect effect was laken into account. The geoid model was compared with GPS-leveling data on all the islands, with differenl vertical datmus The comparisons indicates different precision in the different islandscfrom an offset 1.17 mfor Tenerife lo 0.00 and- 0.04 for Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, respectively. This sows a possible error in the vertical datums. The same occur with the standard devialion thal range from 0,29 mfor Tenerife to 0,09 mfor Lanzarote.
