ResumenThe material was collected in the period 1972-75. An examination was made of the kidney and hepato-pancreas of 761 specimens, including very few of certain species owing to rarity. The following species of Helicidae (Gatropoda, Pulmonata) have been reported for the first time in the province: Candidula intersecta (Poiret, 1801) found in the Mountain, Transition, Central and La Cabrera regions at heights of 819-978 m. 4’16% of the specimens studied hosted trematodes in the kidney. Candidula rocandioi (Ortiz de Zárate, 1950) found in the Mountain region and the Mountain-Transition border at 947-1199 m. Of 65 specimens examined, none was parasitized by trematodes. Helicella leiolema (Westerlund, 1889) discovered in the Mountain region, Mountain-Transition border, Transition and Central between 922 and 1260 m. Of 316 examples studied, 4’l5% were parasitized by trematodes in the kidney and 2’49 % in the hepato-pancreas. Helicella madritensis (Rambur, 1861) found in Transition and Central, between 736 and 909 m. 85 examples were studied including 2’35% with trematodes in the hepato-pancreas. Monacha (Ashfordia) granulata (Alder, 1830) found in Mountain and Transition regions at heights of 657-1233 m. 34 examples were studied of which 2’94% had trematodes in the kidney. Hygromia inchoata (Morelet, 1845) found in Transition, Transition-Central border, Central, El Bierzo and the Bierzo-Cabrera border, at heights of 380-877 m. Of 91 epecimens studied, 38’46% were parasitized in the kidney and 1’09% in the hepato-pancreas, by trematodes in both cases. Hygromia (Pyrenaearia) cantabrica cantabrica (Hidalgo, 1873) found in the Mountain region and on the Mountain-Transition border at heights of 1019-1182 m. The eihgt specimens studied were free of helminths. Hygromia (Pyrenaearia) cantabrica covadongae (Ortiz de Zárate, 1956) found in the Mountain region (Cantabrian-side) at 770 m. None of the 3 examples examined had trematodes. Ponentina ponentina (Morelet, 1845) found on the Mountain-Transition border in El Bierzo and on the Bierzo-Cabrera border at heights of 380-877 m. 16’21% of the 31 specimens studied had trematodes in the kidney. Euomphalia (Mengoana) brigantina (Da Silva Mengo, 1867) found in the Mountain region, between 520 m. (Cantabrian side) and 1337 m. Of 66 examples, 12’12% were parasitized by trematodes in the kidney. Oestophora (Oestophora) barbula (Rossmässler, 1338) found in El Bierzo, Bierzo-Cabrera border and, in La Cabrera, at heights of 380-900 m. Of 25 specimens none was parasitized. Ostophorella buvinieri (Michaud, 1841) found in the Mountain region and Mountain-Transition border, between 520 (Cantabrian side) and 1278 m. Of 7 studied, none had trematodes.
