AbstractTreatment of knitted or woolen wool fabrics from long liquor by a process consisting of a)pretreatment with organic amines and b) treatment with a dispersion of hercosett 57 plus a small amount of stronggly anionic surfactant gives and excellent shrink-resist effect. The regularity of deposition of resin obtained by this method and after-wash appearance of treated knitted fabrics is excellent.
